Locks of Love is a not-for-profit organization that utilizes donated hair and resources to provide hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under 18 with medical hair loss. The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need. Wigs are provided to children who suffer from diseases such as alopecia areata or ectodermal displasia, children who have had burns to the scalp, and children who are experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatment.

The hairpieces Locks of Love provides are custom-made for each child's head. Children can swim, shower, and do gymnastics—in short, they can be kids again. Each hairpiece is made from real human hair, and arrives long, so the children may style it to fit their face.

Locks of Love needs both financial donations (completely tax-deductible) and donations of hair. Donated hair must be at least 10 inches long.

Free haircuts on the 1st Tuesday of the month if you donate 10 or more inches of hair!
