LORA BOEHM: After studing drama at the Hollywood High magnet program for the performing arts, I graduated in 1994 from San Jose City College with my degree in Cosmetology after being on the President's and Dean's lists all three semesters. I assisted for about 10 minutes, then went to work for Hubert Braun in Cupertino, California; the The Hairshapers Club in Milpitas; then Carlton Hair in the Burbank Media City Center. After that I worked at the Fox & the Hair in Monrovia before moving on to The Big Tease. I originally wanted to be a sign language interpreter for the deaf, but since I'm dyslexic and my spelling is terrible my finger spelling would have driven the deaf to kill me, so I turned to hair. My specialties are long hair, color correction, and updos.

	KELLY HARDT: I grew up on the north side of Chicago in a neighborhood known as Lakeview. I attended Pivot Point International Beauty Academy in Chicago from September 1992 through April 1994. Upon graduation I got a job at a prestigious downtown Chicago salon named Trio, where I spent the next six months as a color apprentice studying different techniques of color application, color correction, individualized color creations for clients, perms, relaxers, anything to do with color and chemical services. Around Thanksgiving 1997 I moved to Los Angeles. Because California requires 1600 accredited cosmetologist hours and Illinois only 1500, I needed to take more training here in California to take my state board exam. I attended Moro Beauty School in Glendale while working full time at Great West Life and Annuity as a customer service rep and part-time with Sally Beauty Supply as a cashier. I finally received my certificate of completion and shortly thereafter took the California state board exam. I have worked at two salons here in Monrovia since coming to California before Lora and I had this great opportunity to own The Big Tease Salon.
